Grupo Policlinica opens a new clinic in Ibiza

The medical complex "Clínica Vila Parc" located at Calle Corona nº 1 will initially offer patients 12 new medical consultations and the most ambitious Physiotherapy room in Ibiza, with more than 1,000 square meters.

The Vila Parc clinic will soon be expanded with new operating rooms, hospital rooms, a Radiodiagnosis Unit and, for the first time in Ibiza, Nuclear Medicine. In total there will be 4,000 square meters of modern, efficient and safe medical facilities in the center of Ibiza to provide better service to their patients.

The current health crisis has left a very palpable reality during the last year in the pitiusas, marked by the need of a huge number of patients to be able to continue being diagnosed of their pathologies. Faced with the growing demand and the need to offer a close, effective and safe care, the Vila Parc Clinic has launched the implementation of new services in Ibiza. From Tuesday, March 2, patients will be able to access 12 medical consultations of specialties such as Neurology, Traumatology, Rheumatology, Vascular Surgery, Endocrinology, Neurosurgery, Nursing or General Medicine.

The new Vila Parc medical center also focuses on Physiotherapy. With this room of more than 1,000 square meters, all specialties are covered (Physiotherapy in Traumatology and Orthopedics, sports injuries, Pediatric Physiotherapy, Neurological Physiotherapy, Respiratory, etc. ..... ) and new services are added, always focused on the patient to recover their quality of life as soon as possible, without delay.

Among the novelties of Physiotherapy: the Antigravity Unit (unique in Ibiza).

The center has a room with several anti-gravity treadmills, which considerably reduce the sensation of body weight. In this way you can exercise with it while injured, more comfortably and without pain. The antigravity treadmill has the advantage that it allows you to start earlier the recovery of any pathology that requires activity in the legs, for example, after surgery or any type of injury. It is also very advantageous for people with reduced mobility and is used by many athletes (soccer players, runners...) to recover from their injuries.

In addition, there will be directed activities for small groups in a large and bright gym, for example, a back school, limb strengthening or return to activity.

The Pediatric Physiotherapy and Neurological Physiotherapy rooms will also be larger and more welcoming.

For the first time, Nuclear Medicine in Ibiza.

And most importantly, the next phase of the Vila Parc Clinic, already in the pipeline, will soon be the implementation of more services, including new operating rooms, hospital rooms, Radiodiagnosis rooms and the first CAT PET scanner in Ibiza.

PET, or positron emission tomography, is a type of Nuclear Medicine imaging that can detect early manifestations of disease earlier than other imaging tests.

Nuclear medicine uses small amounts of radioactive material to diagnose, evaluate or treat a variety of diseases. For example, various types of cancers, heart disease, gastrointestinal, endocrine, or neurological disorders and other abnormalities. In addition to offering the ability to identify diseases in their early stages, it can also show whether a patient is responding to treatment.
