After its fourth consecutive edition, the Ibiza Wellness Weekend has established itself as a unique and essential event for lovers of wellness in all its versions: sport, healthy cuisine, nature, personal development, sustainability, art and music. Once again this year, this solidarity event brings together great talents in the education of healthy habits, both local and internationally renowned guest ambassadors.
Between all the activities of the weekend, more than 350 participants have gathered in person between the 3 days and thousands of live connections through the social networks of the talents. A great success in terms of attendance, which together with the great campaign developed, positions Ibiza as one of the best wellness destinations in the world. This is demonstrated by the diversity of visitors who participated from different cities in Spain.
The highlight was the FITNESS BIG MASTERCLASS in the emblematic setting of the Baluarte de Santa Lucía in Dalt Vila on Saturday afternoon, led by famous TV trainer Cesc Escolá (Operación Triunfo, El Conquistador, TVE's Entrena en Casa,.... ) and the founder of Ballet Fit® Gloria Morales (Best trainer by Women's Health magazine), which brought together more than 100 attendees at sunset, along with the beats of DJ Sylvia Operé, combining music and wellness in a memorable moment for the island of Ibiza.
Among the personalities from public institutions and organizations who attended the inauguration, were Catiana Fuster - Second Deputy Mayor of Ibiza Town Hall, José Antonio Marí - Manager of Fomento del Turismo de la Isla de Ibiza, Abel García - Product Manager of the Club de Turismo de Salud y Bienestar Ibiza Health and Beauty, Carmen Gutierrez - President of the Elena Torres Association and Victoria Ferrazzano - Volunteer of the same.
On Sunday also more than 120 registered participants enjoyed the Day of Masterclasses on healthy habits, which took place at the Aguas de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel. Throughout the day on Sunday, the great local talents of mind-body care conquered us through unique experiences and workshops: The Loft - Pilates & Fitness, Elsa Yoga, Antonio Sanz (Mindfulness and conflict management), Christophe Lainé (Geobiology and the health of spaces), Sonia Torres from Casa Morna (Awaken your Potential) and the Creative Coaching of Clara Viguer. The highlight came from the great nutritionist of the Saber Vivir programme and Masterchef winner Marta Verona, with a unique Showcooking that fused local produce and international cuisine together with the renowned Chef Omar Malpartida from Maymanta, the hotel's Peruvian restaurant.
The success of the event was also reflected in the sea and mountain activities, such as paddle, kayaking, ebiking and trekking, hosted by the Las Salinas Natural Park on Saturday morning, with pioneering outdoor companies such as Anfibios and Rockid Ibiza, as well as the inaugural visit on Friday to the Museum of Contemporary Art (MACE) with a tasting of local produce, located in the historic centre of the city of Eivissa, which was also attended by around 40-50 people, in each activity.
The total event raised over €3,000 for the Asociación Elena Torres in its fight against cancer, which is making great advances in research for the early diagnosis of breast cancer. The experience could be enjoyed for a donation from €10 per activity to €50 for the whole weekend.
The Ibiza Wellness Weekend is an initiative of Fomento del Turismo de la Isla de Ibiza and its Club de Turismo de Salud Y Bienestar Ibiza Health & Beauty, and is funded by the Consell d'Eivissa and supported by collaborators such as Ajuntament d'Eivissa, Baleària, Altafit Gym Club, Born Living Yoga, Aguas de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel, Campos de Ibiza and the local product club Eating in Ibiza, with the support of Frutos Secos de Ibiza, Ses Cabretes and Ecofeixes.
