On this visit to Dalt Vila and esparto grass craft workshop you will discover the best kept secrets of the old walled city of Ibiza and you will take part in a workshop where you will become familiar with the esparto grass technique and make a small esparto grass object yourself.

Accompanied by our local guide, we will tour the citadel and get to know the most emblematic places, but also the less known and interesting ones. You will discover its past and present in an entertaining way through everyday stories, lifestyle and popular legends and, best of all, you will be able to share with members of the local community. After the visit we will have an esparto grass workshop in a unique place in Dalt Vila. During the workshop we will be introduced to the world of esparto grass, a plant that has been very important for the Ibicenco people, from which baskets, espardeñas and many other objects are made.
We will learn about its different traditional uses and we will also have the opportunity to make our own object that you can take home as a souvenir.
