Successful participation in the week of yoga organised by Ibiza Health and Beauty and Fomento del Turismo
- More than 120 people took part in the events organised in all the municipalities of the island.
- On the last day, coinciding with International Yoga Day, 108 sun salutations were performed in the incomparable setting of Sa Punta des Molí.
Fomento del Turismo de la Isla de Ibiza and its product club Ibiza Health and Beauty (aimed at promoting health and wellness tourism on the island) are very positive about the participation in Ibiza Yoga Week. As part of this event, which was held between the 17th and 21st of June, a total of five events took place in all the island's municipalities.
Specifically, 51 people took part in the Sant Antoni event (21st June), 30 people in the Sant Joan event (18th June), 24 in the Sant Josep event (20th June), 17 in the Santa Eulària event (19th June) and another 6 in the Ibiza event (17th June). In total, 128 people enjoyed the master classes given by renowned mentors in this discipline.
Helena Yoga Life, Jana Vanhees - Yoga Balance Ibiza, Patricia Fuertes on behalf of White Yoga Ibiza, Francesca Marchioro and Patri Yoga Punto Can Pal were the invited teachers at the International Yoga Day on the 21st of June. On the closing day, which took place in Sant Antoni, the ritual of 108 sun salutations was performed in an incomparable setting: the sunset from Sa Punta des Molí. For this day we also counted on the collaboration of DJ Sylvia Operé who livened up the event with her music and the live broadcast via Ibiza Global Radio, both on FM and Facebook Live. We would like to thank Sonitec Ibiza for their lighting and sound equipment which helped this event to shine with its own light.
Ibiza Yoga Week also had a charitable purpose. More than €800 was raised through donations that will go entirely to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of Ibiza and Formentera (AEMIF). The event's director, Ismael Vargas, attended the presentation, thanking Fomento del Turismo for its collaboration and the participation of all the attendees. As well as the mayor of Sant Antoni, Marcos Serra and the councillor for Tourism Miguel Tur, who continue to work to promote quality tourism in the municipality and support this type of initiative.
Unique surroundings for a week where yoga, active tourism and local products were the protagonists.
Between 17th and 21st June, classes were held in all the municipalities of the island. It all started last Friday morning with the class given by Mireia Aceituno from White Yoga Ibiza at the Baluard de Santa Llúcia, next to the Renaissance wall of Ibiza and overlooking the sea, the old town of Dalt Vila and the Cathedral of Ibiza.
The idyllic Port de Sant Miquel was the setting chosen for Saturday's class with Francesca Marchioro. Vanesa Canto Bodymind shared her wisdom on Sunday at Platja des Mariners and on Monday Patri Yoga Punto Can-Pal did the same at Cala Vedella beach.
There were also parallel activities, including visits to the Cova de Can Marçà cave, guided tours around Dalt Vila and the Santa Eulària river with Ibiza Eco Activities and a paddle surfing excursion with Sup Yoga Ibiza. Eating in Ibiza, the gastronomic club of Fomento del Turismo, has also taken part in Ibiza Yoga Week, providing typical Ibizan products each day to replenish your energy and give you the energy you need to enjoy each day.
Ibiza Health & Beauty, the health and wellness club of Fomento del Turismo, would like to thank all the people who have participated during these 5 days for their attendance and we hope that they have lived a unique experience on the island that they will take with them in their hearts. And they are already preparing upcoming events to continue promoting Ibiza as a destination of quality and wellness, with the Ibiza Wellness Weekend for the end of the season and how not to prepare something in 2023 to celebrate the International Yoga Day.
