Sports medicine: a holistic approach to health taking into account body and mind
On 12th November, we celebrated the first sports and health day in Ibiza.
On Saturday morning, several influential figures from the sector gave us advice and recommendations for sports medicine professionals as well as for top-level sportsmen and women and amateurs.
Get to know all their contributions!
Three fundamental aspects of sportsmen and sportswomen's health
The three main conclusions that could be drawn were:
- Undertake medical examinations before starting any sport to prevent possible illness or injury.
- Health includes body and mind; they are indivisible.
- There is a need for sport units that treat health in a holistic way.
Each of the talks contributed to these three topics, as well as showing us cutting-edge tools used in the treatments necessary for the life of any athlete.
